The International Organization for Migration estimates the human smuggling market in Africa to be worth $40 million.  Smugglers charge between $1,500 to $2,000 on average.

80,000 drug related deaths in Russia each year

94 percent of video games in Brazil are pirated

The Brazilian Association for the Development of Video Games finds that up to 94 percent of all video games sold in Brazil are pirated.

Fake websites from China pretend to sell from UK

Up to 480,000 websites using the domain “co.uk” and selling products are not based in the United Kingdom.  A majority of these fake sites are actually located in China.

Up to 6 percent of all “co.uk” domain registrations are from foreign countries, with China leading the registrations. Most of these fake sites are used to sell counterfeit goods.

Kenya 2008 Counterfeit losses

According to the Kenya Association of Manufacturers, the estimated losses to counterfeits in Kenya in 2008 was $642 million.

$12.5 billion worth of drugs trafficked through Venezuela

Cocaine from Colombia is trafficked through Venezuela and sold on the streets of Europe for $12.5 Billion (£7.5 Billion) a year.

According to the Israel Anti-drug Authority, the illegal drugs market in Israel is valued at $1.5 billion (6 billion shekels) a year.

New Zealand Marijuana market value

Human Trafficking in Bulgaria earns $1.5 Billion

According to the RiskMonitor Foundation, human trafficking in Bulgaria earns between $1.2 Billion and $1.8 Billion (900 Million Euros to 1.3 Billion Euros).  Between 8,000 and 12,000 Bulgarian citizens are victims of human trafficking.
