Dogs illegally smuggled across South-East Asia
Up to 30,000 dogs are illegally smuggled across borders from Thailand and into Vietnam and Laos to be sold for its meat. The dogs are sold by traffickers for an average of $10 a dog, thus creating an estimated $3.6 Million market.

Seizures of meth in East and South East Asia
Authorities seized 31 million methamphetamine pills in 2008 in the East and South East Asia region, compared to 25 million pills seized in 2007.
In addition, 8.3 tons of crystal meth was seized in 2008, compared to 7.3 tons seized in 2007.

4 out of 5 orphans have living parents
According to a report by Save the Children, 4 out of 5 children living in an orphanage around the world has a living parent. The report states that some organizations trick or force the parents to give up their child, leading to risks of trafficking and abuse.

Texas seized record crop of marijuana in 2009
Authorities in the state of Texas eradicated nearly 62,000 marijuana plants in 2009, the highest amount on record.
36,280 marijuana plants were eradicated in 2008, and 40,172 were eradicated in the state in 2007.
