6,684 victims of human trafficking in Vietnam in 2008
The government of Vietnam reported that there were 6,684 victims of human trafficking in the country in 2008. Of that amount, 2,579 were returned to their homes.
In addition, 21,038 people were reported missing who could have been sold into prostitution.
