Software piracy losses in 2009

According to the Business Software Alliance, $51.4 Billion of software was pirated in 2009.

Globally, 43 percent of all software on computers were pirated in 2009, up from 41 percent in 2008.

China reported that in 2009, $18.9 Billion was spent on pirated software in the country.

12 percent of the total software market in the country was made up of pirated software.
