in Substance Abuse

A drug rehab center in Kabul, Afghanistan estimates that there are around 60,000 women who regularly abuse illegal drugs in the country. The women abuse heroin, hashish, and marijuana.

There are about one million abusers of heroin and opium in Afghanistan. With a total population of 30 million, the high rate of drug abusers in the country makes it the world’s top heroin user per capita.
