Human Trafficking Convictions in Europe

According to the Home Affairs Commissioner of the European Union, there were 1,250 recorded criminal convictions for human trafficking in the EU in 2010. The number of convictions for human trafficking was lower in 2010 than the 1,500 convictions in 2008.

76 percent of human trafficking victims in the EU faced sexual exploitation in 2010, up from 70 percent in 2008.
