Human Trafficking in Kenya

in Transnational Crime

Over 10,000 people become victims of human trafficking and are brought  into the coastal provinces of Kenya every year, according to estimates by the International Organisation of Migration.

An NGO estimates that 50 young girls are trafficked or smuggled into the capital city of Nairobi each week. In the city, human traffickers buy girls between the ages of 10 to 15 for $600.
