MARKET INFORMATION According to a news report from Reuters, " traffickers are selling children in India for amounts that are often lower than the cost of animals and most of them end up working as laborers or commercial sex workers." 2 The article stated that buffaloes may cost up to $350, while children who are sold between $12 and $45. 40 to 50 percent of all victims of human trafficking in India are estimated to be children.3
