Labor Trafficking in the United States

One in ten incidents of suspected human trafficking that is investigated by authorities in the United States is classified as labor trafficking, according to the Justice Department’s Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Between 2008 and 2010, federal prosecutors in the US open investigations into cases that involved 63 suspected victims of labor trafficking.
