Australian Custom Officials announced that criminal gangs are trading in illegally stuffed animals.

UNDERWORLD figures and outlaw bikie gang members are the most likely to illegally trade in questionable collectables such as stuffed lions, bears, orang-utans and moose heads, it has emerged.

Customs officials this week unveiled some of the rare, unusual and dead wildlife seized in the illegal smuggling trade into and out of Australia.

The menagerie of stuffed animals caught in the dragnet included a long-dead big cat, brown bear, chimpanzee, and an unsettling but imposing arrangement of mounted deer, antelope and moose heads as well as birds, snakes and scorpions.
