The American Association of Poison Control Centers reported receiving 6,959 calls related to synthetic marijuana in 2011, more than double the amount of calls centers across the country received in 2010.
A November 2011 report found that one in nine high schools students reported to getting high off of synthetic marijuana, second only to traditional marijuana.
