Potential Marijuana Joints from Mexico

in Substance Abuse

In the most current year analyzed, pot farms in Mexico had the potential to produce an estimated 21,500 metric tons of marijuana in 2008.

One metric ton, or 2,200 pounds of marijuana, is capable of producing as many as 1.75 million marijuana joints.

21,500 times 1.75 million equals 37,625,000,000 (37.625 billion) potential marijuana joints that were produced in Mexico in 2008.
