According to a study conducted by the Social Research Institute of Chulalongkorn University, 64 percent of citizens in Thailand gambled within the past year, and 63 percent started gambling before they were 24 years old.

An estimated 19,923,643 people are believed to participate in an underground lottery in Thailand, compared to 19,211,727 people who play the government lottery.
3,125,705 people illegally gamble at unlicensed gambling dens across Thailand.
There are between 700,000 to 1,000,000 illegal casinos and gambling dens located across Thailand, handling between $21 Billion to $27 Billion in wagers.
