Associated Press Death Toll For Mexico in 2010

The Associated Press reported that 15,273 people were killed in drug trafficking violence in Mexico in 2010.

The 2010 figure was up from the 9,616 people who were killed in 2009.

Overall, since the start of the drug war in 2006, 34,612 people have been killed in drug trafficking violence in Mexico.
