Average Ransom Demand in Nigeria During First Half of 2009

The average demand in kidnapping for ransom cases in Nigeria ranged between $700,000 to $3 Million in the first half of 2009. Negotiations are usually able to bring down the actual ransom payments.

Over 500 people were abducted in kidnapping for ransom cases in Nigeria during those six months.
