Child Trafficking in India

in Transnational Crime

According to reports from India, every six minuets a child goes missing in the country.

Over 90,000 children are officially reported missing every year in India. A non-governmental organization estimates that up to 10 times that amount, or 900,000 children, fall victim to human trafficking in India each year.

A raid conducted by police found children as young as 6 working 10 hours a day and earning $4 a month.
