According to a report by computer security firm Norton, cybercrime activities in India costs consumers $4 Billion in 2013. The average cost per victim was $207, an increase of 8 percent from the previous years average of $192.
11 percent of the cybercrime victims were the target of ransomware, which was the highest levels in the Asia Pacific region.
63 percent of mobile smartphone users experienced some from of cybercrime on their devices in the past 12 months.
