Decline of Tiger Population Due to Trafficking

in Environmental Threats

Due to wildlife trafficking, the number of tigers in the wild has steadily decreased . At the start of the 1900s, there were around 100,000 wild tigers roaming the world. By the 1980s, there were an estimated 20,000 wild tigers. At the start of 2010, there were an estimated 3,200 wild tigers roaming the world.
