Homicides in Ciudad Juarez

Before the drug war in Mexico, there were roughly 300 murders in the border city of Ciudad Juarez in 2007.

In 2010, state officials reported 3,622 homicides in the city. With a rate of 272 murders per 100,000 residents, Ciudad Juarez had the highest murder rate in the world.
