Human Trafficking Convictions in the Philippines

Since an anti-human trafficking law was enacted in 2012, the government of the Philippines has convicted 118 human traffickers, according to the Inter-agency Council Against Trafficking (IACAT).

1,519 cases of human trafficking was filed with the court system during that time period.

In addition to the conviction, criminal justice programs provided victims services such as counseling, temporary shelter and other forms of assistance to 651 victims of trafficking.
