Human Trafficking in California

The Attorney General of the US State of California reported that during the three month period from April to June of 2012, law enforcement officials identified 304 victims of human trafficking with the state’s borders. The number of victims identified was tripled the amount of victims found during the same time period in 2011, where 100 human trafficking victims were identified.

Between 2010 through the first half of 2012, officials in California identified a total of 1,277 victims of human trafficking. 72 percent of the victims were US Citizens.
