Illegal foreign workers in Malaysia

In 2011, the Government of Malaysia registered 1.3 million foreign workers who were illegally in the country.

There were 244,261 illegal foreign workers employed in the services industry, 175,475 employed in the manufacturing industry, 137,795 working in plantation, 85,496 working in the agriculture industry, and 26,340 employed as maids.

Out of the total number of illegal migrants registered in Malaysia, 316,961 had no employment.
