Lost Tax Revenue From Tobacco Smuggling in Mexico in 2011

British American Tobacco estimates that up to $583 Million (7 Billion Mexican Pesos) in tax revenue could be lost to cigarette smuggling in 2011.

The company reported that in certain areas of the country, up to 15 percent of all cigarettes sold were contraband.
