Rhinos Killed on Average in 2000s

Between 2000 and 2007, an average of 12 Rhinos were killed each year in order to meet the supply of rhino horns on the world black market.

In 2010, 333 rhinos were killed for their horns.

In the first 8 months of 2011, over 200 were poached and killed.
