According to a report by the Daily News, there were a total of 50 sex trafficking arrests in New York City in 2011.
23 arrests took place in Brooklyn, where there is a specialized human trafficking unit in the District Attorney’s office.
9 trafficking arrests each took place in the Bronx, Manhattan, and Queens. There were no arrests in Staten Island.
