Tax evasion in Tanzania

The country of Tanzania loses up to $1 Billion in tax revenue to tax evasion activities, capital flight, and tax incentives to investors, according to a study released by the Interfaith Standing Committee on Economic Justice and Integrity of Creation (ISCJIC).

According to the report, out of 15 million potential tax payers in the country, only 1.5 million people officially pay taxes.
