Tax Evasion Revenue Collected in the United Kingdom

According to the Chief Secretary of the Treasury, the United Kingdom Government will collect $6.4 Billion (£4 Billion) in 2012 based upon the government’s campaign against tax evasion.  The  amount estimated to be collected from tax evaders in 2012 will be double the amount collected by authorities in 2011.

The government estimates that up to $11.3 Billion (£7 Billion) in additional revenue from tax evasion will be collected in 2015.

The UK Treasury stepped up enforcement of tax evaders with a new 200 member “Affluence Unit”.
